Maris the Dark Mistress Or, as I painted her up: Maris the Princess in the Carmine robe.
Easy peasy to see that this lady is no sweety. Just looking at her sinister appearance makes one realise this, but the red eyes are a dead give-away... But what is she? Demon? Vampire? Who knows..... Find out... at your own risk!

Archaon, Lord of the Endtimes Well well... what a title eh? But he is scary enough he is.... I painted this mini up in the studio colors and I again picked up my Tamiya Clear paints. This time again I made the gold without actually touching gold paints. It's all silvers with the inks.
Hope you like it! [Jan 12, 2005]

Katalin the Succubus Spyglass' katalin! Beware all males, for she might just fly out of the screen to swallow your soul! Or not.... Anyway, I truly enjoyed painting her up and I am pretty pleased with the 'tight' paintjob.
Hope you like her! [Jan 10, 2005]

Raven This is Raven, a flying vampiric lady from the hands of Werner Klocke (freebooter minis). A great figure to paint and again with some simple yet effective touches to this mini. I exerimented with Tamiya Clear red here, which I picked up on a wire, left to form a droplet on the end which I let dry a little. Then I fiddled around letting the drop (very sticky at this point) stick to the fingers. Nice effect if I say so myself... [Jan 10, 2005]

DIRTY dark druid This is my interpretation of the dark druid sculpt that can also be found in the gallery (as a green). I was fortunate enough to have a friend cast it up for me a few times (only about six in the world), and so this is a painted version. I wanted to get a really dirty feel to it, and so I have added a lot of blood to it. As if this druid is truly mad and just had a blood sacrifice to paint runes and stuff. He also hasn't washed his hands in quite some time I can tell you! [Jan 10, 2005]

Skrag the Ogre And THIS is why ogres are usually not allowed in Bars and taverns.....
This is a great mini by Heresy figures. Great pose and dynamic feel to the mini, I wanted this mini to speak for itself and thus I did not add too fancy effects to it. Hope you like it! [Jan 10, 2005]

Project Mara WIP 3! Hi all,
So, here is the 3rd batch of Mara's pictures. Still a lot going on with this miniature, and even a lot of the new things since the last update are not yet quite finished. I am doing a lot of scraping/sanding to get everything Smooth as a baby's bottom :-)
The last shot shows you a picture of the wing, but it is somewhat low in the picture (will be a bit higher...). Now to decide on the other arm (what to do with it) and to find me a resin caster.....

Melkion the flamboyant Hi all, this is Melkion, maybe one of the best miniatures Rackham ever made IMHO. I loved the sculpt and it painted itself. I am pretty pleased with how it turned out. I combined a few lighting effects on this one, with the orangy fire glow from his brazier and the shiny chrome effects of his armor. All topped of with my new NMM gold formula (see the Fianna)
I hope you like him! [Dec 30, 2004]
|
Fianna My newly painted Fianna by Rackham. I painted her with NMM gold, a new way as well. Basically it is an old GW color (bronzed flesh) shaded with scorched brown and some white highlights, Hope you like her! [Dec 30, 2004]
|
Drac Mac Syro This is a confrontation barbarian I like very much. Great facial expression and character. I painted this in NMM and also a slightly darker skintone. Hope you like him! [Dec 15, 2004]

Lysette This is Lysette, Elf sorceress of dubious allegiance. Or rather, I tried to give her a dark and brooding look which I though fitted well with the miniature. A great miniature and this is my interpretation of her. Painted in NMM as well, as was my wont in days of yore :) [Dec 15, 2004]

beastmen army part 3 In this last part I have the last three items in my beastmen army. First up is the unit of 5 harpies. The next photo shows a few army characters (beastlord, Khazrak and redmaw and a shaman) and last up is my converted and huge battle standard bearer. [Dec 06, 2004]

Beastmen army part 2 In this installment of my beastmen army I have some very old OOP models. First are the minotaurs. These are extremely rare and OOP, especially the two smaller ones (marauder miniatures). The second photo shows my chaos hounds. All very old and OOP too, but from different time periods. The third and fourth photos show my chaos trolls, some quite heavily converted. [Dec 06, 2004]

beastmen army This is the first lot of beastmen from my army. In the photos you can see a unit of 21 gors, 8 ungors, 18 ungors with spears and two chariots. These are part of my army deal. [Dec 06, 2004]

Goblin Shaman This is an extensive conversion. With only four existing parts you could almost say it is half a sculpt. The existing parts are the two hands and head from the Nightgoblin sprue and the bird is from the Nurgle champion model. The rest on the model is sculpted. Oh, the chains are modellers chain as well, not sculpted :-)
In painting I wanted this one to step away from a nightgoblin. So it has become a normal (insane) goblin shaman, somewhat closer to nature than normal ones as can be seen by the familiar and the oak staff.
Hope you like it! [Dec 05, 2004]

Necrarch Vampire with lighting effects This is an original sculpt of mine which I made after the image of a Necrarch vampire in the army book. It is entirely sculpted except for the remains on the base. These are GW parts.
In painting it I wanted to convey the sinister aspect of the Necrarch and thus I opted for the yellow/green witch-lights and effects. I hope you like it! [Dec 05, 2004]

The Living Saint This is my newest miniature from the game of warhammer 40K. It is currently available on eBay (item 5939626731). On this miniature I painted gold in an unsual fashion, I used full strength Tamiya Clear inks over 'chainmail/mithril silver' to create the gold effect. Alas it does not photograph as well as it looks in real life, but enough should be visible.
*edit* the fourth picture is an edited picture of the first one. The true white (as it is in real life) is much better represented here. [Dec 01, 2004]

Mara project WIP 2 Well well....
In the other picture the face was not very clear. Here is a better shot after only minor work. [Nov 24, 2004]
|
Project 'Mara' WIP Secrecy? Nah... But guess what this will become?
Very 'in progress' shot, and there is lots and lots to do still.
The figure is 80 mm from top to bottom and a lot of different materials were used on her. [Nov 19, 2004]

Snaek preview: Ork Nob Well, here's a sneak preview of the Ork Nob I have painted for the Golden demons 2004. Just a few more small things and it is done. After the demons I will post the entire model. [Sep 27, 2004]

FIMO practice As the title says this was for me just another practice session in Fimo. I wanted to try to capture a female face well and truly (in a cartoonesque way that is...), and to actualy learn how to work in the right proportions. I worked in FIMO and in large scale. She worked out so well (IMHO) that I baked it up. I might give her a body and some better hair in the future maybe. [Sep 07, 2004]

The Seductress This is a miniature I actually sculpted with regards for anatomy. I think this shows as the model works for me. I did fall into a common trap ('size creep', you can guess where?) but apart from that I am pretty pleased with her. She is not yet finished, the whip and the hands still need some work. [Sep 07, 2004]
|
Female Monk This is a sculpt which again started out without planning. Although I am pretty pleased with the progress this miniature was over my previous ones it can still be done a lot better. I did start to learn the pro's of planning by now (call me a hard learner :-))
The figure is not quite ready yet, she still needs some detail, most notably 'hands'. [Sep 07, 2004]
|
Gilead This is an attempt to recreate Gilead from Games Workshop. I drew heavily on the forgeworld model of Gilead, but in the end I just couldn't exactly capture the model in 30 mm. The face especially can be done a bit better. But still I am quite attached to this model, it even appeared in the first CMON annual. [Sep 07, 2004]
|
The Dark Druid. This started out as an experiment in sculpting types of cloth. I wanted to try out how it would look and so I (halfway) decided to make it an evil druid. Because of the lack of planning and complete disregard of anatomy the proportions are way off on this miniature, but I still like it. [Sep 07, 2004]
|
Cyberpunk Assassin This is an early sculpt of mine when I was still struggling hard with anatomy. There are a few things obviously wrong with this miniature, but one of the most obvious is the absence of curvature. In the legs there is some, but her back is too straight. Nevertheless it is a reasonable attempt. [Sep 07, 2004]
