the thread about the Crown of Solomon site, namely scalad reply about the 3 fangames he mainly expects, gave me the idea for this thread...

theres a hole lot fangames out there being in some state of development... what other games apart from FoY are YOU anxiously awaiting?

for me its

- Fountain of Youth (of course)
- FoA II (yes, i WANT to believe!)
- Herr der Löffel (translates into "Lord of Spoons", a hommage to monkey island) see their website here at http://home.arcor.de/tomysoft/loeffel.html
- a star wars fangame called "Shadows of the Empire", see it here at http://dsgames.guerrestellari.net/
- Day of the Tentacle 2 - see it here http://www.adventure-treff.de/fanadv/fanadventures.php?id=108
- Amulet of Monkey Island by Metamorfo at http://www.metamorfo.cjb.net/
(spanish only so far, but the projects they got seem promising, they "had" an Indy Project, too, but this, apparently, has been cancelled)

and whats your "wanna play" games out there? (fan-adventure only)

Just don't play Broken Sword on a Gameboy - it has some nasty bugs that mean you might have to replay half the game. I should know. It happened to me >:(

hey, i just stumbled upon this project of a german group; an inofficial sequel to the simon the sorcerer series "Simon the Sorcerer and the whole magic door" which is still in the works:

http://www.sts-twmd.com/news/index.php

check their site; while being far from todays standards and from being updated as regularly as FoY, they just claimed a sign of life, of still being active about their game (as posted in a news-item from october 1st, 2008)

pity, though, their site is german only as far as i can see; not sure about the game itself

and see susans site here, with her game "Indiana Jones and the revenge of the ancients"

http://www.freewebs.com/oldstyle_games/games.htm

susan was even a member of this forum for some time i think. pity, though, the site hasnt been updatet for about 3 years now; so im not sure if she is still working on the game or not... if i remember it correctly, she was rather dedicated to her project, though, so she might be cooking it on her own in secret, and have the big surprise when she releases the game

another member of this site, grim107, is preparing another indy3-based game with his team... not much info on their game so far, rather just a name and a site. when you read his posts on here, you get the impression those guys are rather serious about getting their project released. lets hope they will.

see their site here: http://juggernaut.stolovitz.com/

another indy-fan game: Indiana Jones and the Secret of Pandora. The project is relatively new, theis site looks rather professional to me, eventhough a bit slow, even on my quick connection...

anyway, have a look for yourself:

My god, they have a HUGE team! :) It looks kind of interesting - too bad the trailer is "no longer available"...

yeah, their team IS huge... 11 people on it... what worries me a bit is that it seems like 7 out of those 11 are synchro-speakers... not really sure if they do anything else but giving their synchro-voices...

also, another indy game that is out there for years, that several teams worked on so far (at least on games with the same title) is

"Indiana Jones and the spear of Destiny"
http://cgs.atspace.com/SOD_info.html

whats interesting about this game is the fact, that LEC wanted to make a sequel to FoA by that very name themselves, based on the technology used for FoA... (they cancelled their plans, though, due to the decreasing attention gamers paid to point-and-click-adventures...)

and yet another indy-themed game... not sure about the recent status, though... (based on the looks and feel of "Last Crusade", according to their website)

Indiana Jones and the Ivory Grave
http://www.geocities.com/veliarts/ivory.html

the site doesnt look much yet, then again, maybe they invest their time and efforts rather in the game than in a flashy website...
